New resources from the Province of BC focused on anti-racism

Date

The Government of British Columbia has created a suite of anti-racism resources. This anti-racism campaign encourages people to examine personal biases and take a stand against discrimination.

The resources support self-reflection regarding racism and encourage people to speak out if they see negative discrimination. Anti-racism includes deliberate acts of opposing racism and promoting a society that is thoughtful, inclusive, and just.

The resources were created in consultation with key community groups including the provincial Multicultural Advisory Council (MAC), the Minister’s Advisory Council on Indigenous Women, the Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network, and the Premier’s Chinese Canadian Community Advisory Council. The campaign features artwork from nine BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) artists and illustrators.
