2020-2021 Community Wellness Awards - EXTENDED

Date

Northern Health (NH) and First Nation’s Health Authority (FNHA) are happy to release the 2020/2021 call for Wellness Grant applications for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities, organizations and Health Centers.

These grants are offered by the Health Authorities in partnership to support communities working together to improve health and well-being in Northern BC. The grants are offered up to a maximum of $5,000. Projects must support community-based initiatives that focus on holistic health and wellness and one of the following priorities:

  1. Cultural Safety
  2. Primary Care
  3. Mental Wellness and Substance Use
  4. Population and Public Health: community wellness activities

Preference will be given to projects that:

  • Support collaboration
  • Support health and well-being
  • Builds healthy relationships
  • Capacity building and training

To protect those most vulnerable, and to make sure that our health system is able to care for those who become severely ill, we ask that all projects follow COVID-19 BCCDC guidelines. People are asked to practice common sense approaches to prevent infection and transmission in community settings. When planning an event, keep group sizes small; large gatherings are strongly discouraged. For up-to-date information and guidelines, visit the BCCDC website.

Submission deadline: January 19, 2021

Applicants are encouraged to submit prior to the deadline. Successful applicants will be notified in January 2021.
